This past Saturday brought another exciting conclusion to a hotly contested Spring/Summer bocce season. When it was all said and done only one team emerged victorious…the Misfits!!

The Misfits fought the good fight and skillfully navigated their way through Wednesday’s bracket. Even a brief trip to the loser’s bracket couldn’t stop them on their quest for world domination. They then faced the winner from Thursday night, the Pil Pushers (Editor’s note: I roll for the Pil Pushers). However, the Misfits won a nailbiter of a Game 1 and never looked back in Game 2 on the way to the title. The Misfits showed skill and determination that proved they are more than worthy to add another one of their plaques back on the Championship trophy. Congrats to the World Champs!

Thank you all for another great season. Tentatively, the Fall season will start the week of Labor Day. We are at capacity for teams with at least 10 each night, so we’ll probably have a few more Tuesday night matches. Championship Saturday should be November 5th and the year-end banquet will be Saturday, November 12.
