Pil Pushers are World Champs!!

***Editor’s Note: I roll for the Pil Pushers, but I’ll try to keep it objective!

Yesterday was Championship day for the 2017 Fall Bocce Season.  The weather was ice cold, but there was some serious heat being thrown on our hallowed frozen astroturf in Lower Providence!!  But when all the ice was melted and the final ball was tossed, there was only one team remaining that would hoist the golden trophy – The Pil Pushers!!

After years of trying to claim the title, Thursday night’s Pil Pushers finally saw all of their hard work and dedication pay off with Championship glory!  Congratulations to The Big Labocce for winning Wednesday night’s bracket.  They have proven time and time again, that if you want to represent Wednesday in the title match, you’re going to have to reckon with their championship caliber talents first!

It was a fierce battle between The Big Labocce and the Pil Pushers for the crown, but ultimately the Pushers prevailed.  With a mix of youthful exuberance, sage wisdom, cigar smoke, and the finest island lager the world has to offer, the Pil Pushers were able to roll forward and claim the title that is now rightfully theirs!  Pil Pushers are World Champs!  Hail to the Victors!!

Thank you to everyone for a great season.  I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season and winter, and we’ll see you all again in the spring for another season of bocce madness!

    • Hello Vince. Yes, the league starts Wednesday April 4th. I’m still awaiting some responses so there’s an off chance you’re on a bye but I should have it out soon. Thanks for letting me know.
