*Editor’s Note: I roll for the Pil Pushers

This past Saturday was another exciting installment of Championship Bocce. The weather was crisp and the attitudes were fresh, but when all the dust settled, only one team remained standing. The Pil Pushers are 3-time World Champs!

Congratulations to the Ballers on a Budget who rose all the way from a 7th place regular season finish to take the Wednesday Night accolades. They played excellently throughout the playoffs and proved no matter where they are, they ballin’! They matched up against Thursday Night’s victor, the Pil Pushers. These teams were no strangers to each other. Some knew each other from the way back high school days. Some knew each other from the world-renowned nightlife scene of Lower Providence. These fierce competitors battled tirelessly across two games. Some called it the ‘Battle for Trooper’. But in the end, the Pil Pushers remained standing.

When we look back upon our lives, several decades from now…we’ll think about the important moments that truly had an impact. The day we met our beautiful wives. The day we saw the birth of our first child. And…… the day we became 3-time World Bocce Champions!! Pil Pushers are World Champs!!
